I am a self-taught mixed-media artist and have been painting with tea for about six years. I’ve enjoyed painting since I was a child. I've combined two things I love, painting and drinking tea. I select teas that inspire me -- whether it's the flavor, the smell, or the sound and texture of the tea when I'm crushing it between my fingertips. I work with acrylic paint on canvas, and prefer metallic paints because of the eye-catching shimmer and shine it gives my paintings. The tea's texture is what adds dimension to my paintings. When mixed with acrylic paint, the tea builds layers and shapes on the canvas and adds unlimited depth and intensity. I take myself on a journey into TeaDimensionalArt everytime I paint.
